Job Title: Technical Support Engineer
Job Purpose: Microsoft Windows Servers Management & Troubleshooting
Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering in IT or related fields
Certification:
- Professional Certification in Server/Storage domain (MCSE/MCSA)
- ITIL (Minimum Foundation Level).
- Excellent understanding of IT Service Management and underlying Processes
Experience:
- Minimum of 7-8 years’ experience in the IT Infrastructure domain with at least 3 years’ experience in managing large IT Projects.
Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 2012, 2016 and 2019 operating systems and Exchange (2016/2019/O365 Online) products.
- Solid understanding and experience of Mail flow in an enterprise environment.
- Solid understanding and experience of Windows servers, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Understand various access methods including POP, IMAP, OWA, MAPI, Outlook Anywhere
- Experience with mobile devices and their respective administrative tools such as BES, GOOD, and Active Sync
- Working knowledge of Windows 2008/2012/2016 Active Directory and VM technology
- Familiar with configuration and usage of all email clients and mobile devices/smartphones
- Serve as an escalation point for Exchange Server management and operational issues.
- Provide day-to-day prime and non-prime support to the client.
- Solid understanding on Active Directory (AD), AD domain trust, DNS, Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS), Group Policy Object (GPO) management, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
- Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
- Knowledge on Physical (Dell, HP, IBM) and virtual (VMware/Hyper-V) servers
- Knowledge on Client/server hardware and software configuration
- Knowledge on Networking concepts
- Must have Creating and/or modifying scripts (batch, vbs, PowerShell) proficiency.
- Working Experience in Antivirus Management, Windows Security patch Management (SCCM )
- Knowledge on Microsoft SQL Server
- Ability to participate in complex, cross-functional problem-solving initiatives.
- Performing accurate RCA’s for all incidents being reported.
- Experience in both PowerShell and GUI Exchange Toolset.
- Proficient in troubleshooting issues with Active Directory, GPO, Exchange, O365, Microsoft Cluster Services and Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge about Enterprise backup & restore systems like Veeam, Netbackup, and Micro focus Data protector and etc.
- Basic Knowledge about Server, storage Hardware.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service ethos.
