In line with its vision of “Safe & Smooth Transport to All”, RTA is responsible for planning and providing the requirements of transport, roads & traffic in the Emirates of Dubai. Rail Agency is responsible for studying the requirement of Metro Rail in various areas. The Agency is also responsible for ‘Right of Way’ Inspection once the NOC is issued to a contractor. Any work/ activities carried out in the vicinity of Metro line should have an NOC from Rail Agency. The Inspectors can then, both do a Routine Area Patrolling or a Planned Inspection of their sites and validate the contractor against the Pre-defined set of Violations and Restricted activities. They need to ensure that the Contractors are abiding to the rules.
If not, as a process, the Inspectors are supposed to take necessary actions by issuing various kinds of notices and doing a follow-up to make sure they
abide by the rules.
